October 2011
The Board of Housing Commissioners of GDPM has been considering changing the agency’s name in order to better reflect its vision and goals for the future. The insights you and the employees of DMHA shared during focus groups held earlier this year were extremely helpful to the board as they took on this challenge. In fact, your observations and perspective are what enabled us to develop the organization’s new name.

I am pleased to share that the Board of Housing Commissioners has approved the change of our name to Greater Dayton Premier Management. The change will be announced publicly later this week.

The new name was chosen to reflect the agency’ mission and values, and to echo our role as the leader in providing affordable housing to Montgomery County. By making quality housing available, Greater Dayton Premier Management is enhancing neighborhoods, strengthening communities and changing lives every day.

This name change helps illustrate our broad objectives, our employees’ commitment and gives us the opportunity to reintroduce ourselves to Montgomery County. We want area residents to know that our focus on the quality of our services, residential options and property management is enabling us to do more with less in this climate of economic uncertainty.

To ensure that the community is aware of the name change, a comprehensive public relations campaign will be conducted. The organization’s logo, website, brochures, etc. will also be updated to integrate the new name.

The Board of Housing Commissioners and I strongly believe that “Greater Dayton Premier Management” better represents our vision for the future of the agency, as well as the realities of our changing community. I am excited about this new chapter in the organization’s history and am proud to say that our employees are as committed as ever to offering high-quality housing solutions throughout the Miami Valley.
